yeah it confuses me to but the lifted chevy with the 350 actually smokes me bad he does all the time. when we race he just toys with me thats how sad it is. hell ya cant even tell when i put the pedal to the floor (not even joking) you hear the loud roar but it doesnt go any where lol so which gears would be best for me. i want my truck to be faster and i want everything to be smooth but i want to smoke that chevy. i do mostly town driving but my girlfriend lives 20 miles away so i do some highway driving. i am getting 13 mpg on the highway now so that dont matter to much to me so which set of gears sounds best suitable for me?

Ok heres the thing. The first thing he needs to do is decide what he wants does he want a big truck that can go anywhere or does he want a speed demon. If he wants a big go anywhere truck that he has a good starting point. The second thing he needs to do is make sure his motor is running correctly. After that he can start looking at mods. I'm willing to bet it's been awhile since hes done a tune up. I might be wrong but most people it seem skip the basics. After that he can start looking at mods. If it were me I would install gears first probably 4.10 but, I use the freeway if he hardly see the freeway it would be 4.56 all the way. The top end will suffer but, who cares your bottom end will be sick nasty and you would be able to pull a house down. After that I would ron long tubes with 2.5 single pipe or if you want dual I would go with 2.25 " after the pipes split. Then take and modify the intake and either buy a fastman TB or do it yourself. After that it's going to cost more per horse then I would think it was worth. Unless you stroked it but, I'm not sure how reliable a stroked 5.2 is.
