Is the truck starting off in first gear?

 

it starts off in first sometimes....the tranny shop told me it was the kickdown solenoid so i'm going to try and replace that now. the truck is actually shifting perfectly! now the only big problem that remains is when i put it in park it can still roll! its as if the park lock rod isn't all the way locked into where its supposed to. On top of that, in order to shift out of park, i have to rock the truck back and forth!....what a pain lol

 

There is no kickdown solenoid in your transmission....
