Newbie Bought my first Dodge
Just wanted to say hello guys,
Bought my first Dodge
1998 dodge Ram 1500 Quad Long bed.
Mileage: 134K
Issues:
Windshield
Needed Tranmission
Tire are balds.
A/C doesn't work
Drive side window (needs Regulator)
other little misc interior parts.
Transmission was low on fluid, was leaking from the pan. Went to Autozone yesterday and bought a new gasket and filter, when i got underneath and tried to loosen the transmission bolt pans they were already lose. Got my Torque and tighten them up. Voila
sovled my issue no more leaks, unbelievable.
already replaced the windshield for $185 (is that cheap?)
Next my window - While at Autozone i did go ahead and buy the regulator. (Can't beleive my window issue is going to cost more than my transmission)
Will start working on the AC next. Can anyone send me a link on how to trouble shoot my A/C. I dont' think my condensor is kicking in.
Thanks guys! Can't wait to finally start driving the truck on a regular basis.

Welcome and congrats. $185 is good for the windshield. As far as the AC goes, I can almost guarantee the evaporator core is bad in the dash. But you can start by getting a can of r134a with dye in it, and see if anything under the hood shows a leak. Check fuses/relays also.
