Reb, quick question. In that second pic, was that before you reapplied the emblem? Or is a glare making it look like chrome? It almost looks like you taped the emblem recess off when you painted....

It was before I reapplied it I took the photo before I added it back in. I did however tape off the recess so not to apply the emblem on top of the painted surface. I just taped off the back of the recess not the sides so this way you could not see the unpainted surface.

I had actually thought since the foil surface on the emblem cae off with the silicone before I reattached the emblem. I thought about just trying to remove all of the chrome "ram" down to the clear plastic and painting the Ram design Red on the inside of the emblem to match the word DODGE above the ram so the entire emblem would be red and Black. DO you think it would look alright?

Opinions please!

Interesting idea, but I would get a few emblems to try that on first.

I think it would be too much work for nothing.
