You're forgeting about the "sound" of the V10 in the first place; Miami can you make a video of your exhaust?

You must be reading my mind, kid.

I've been through the EPA process with motorcycle manufacturers and it isn't pretty. Harley switched to a roller cam chain design in 1997 on their big twins partly because the gear drive system they had used for decades was too noisy. Many components on our vehicles are designed the way they are for a number of reasons, not the least of which are emissions and noise. The intake by itself might seem an odd place to be worried about sound, but it is the cumulative effect that each component has on the overall that is important. Evaporative emissions is an especially difficult area to comply with. You haven't lived until you've suffered through an EPA shed test with a prototype engine seeking approval.

Not that I care, but interesting nonetheless. I scanned it for you. Here it is:

Also, I have the rad out of my Jeep Cherokee if you'd like it. Not as big as the V10's, but still pretty sizable and representative of a Chrysler rad. Pay shipping and it's yours.
If you look it will say for 3500 modles only I looked today

The federal laws on tampering are applicable to all motor vehicles sold in this country, including motorcycles. Enforcement is spotty depending on the state you live and register the vehicle in, but the law is clear regarding emissions and noise related equipment tampering/removal.

Is your truck over 10,000 ibs because mine is only 4500ibs if you read it it says all vehicles built over 10,000ibs have to comply with the Federal Government's Exterior noise Regulations so there for the 1500 ,and 2500 dont have to comply with it.

You need some lessons in reading comprehension. That paragraph is specifically about a noise standard for heavy trucks. It has nothing to do with the federal anti-tampering laws that cover the emissions and noise related systems on all vehicles sold in this country.

Either way, surprised the feds care about fans/shrouds.

Received a note from the one truthful fan manu. when I passed on the fans I was testing. He claims the Perma-Cool they tested couldn't pull more then 1100 cfm under any circumstances. Really can't wait to get going on this.

The page that was scaned about the Tampering laws is on the page I am looking at. It is for Tampering with noise Control System Prohibited. So you might need some lessons in reading comprehension. Look a page 177-180 you will see what I am looking at
