Default 14x3 Q

this is prolly a beaten horse, and im prepared for the Search Feature *****
but I put a 14x3 open air cleaner on the truck
and along with that, i also installed a crankcase breather, and now when im sitting at idle im smelling the oil vapor coming from it, i can also see it coming from the filter when i got the hood up
my question is, is this normal, or could it possibly be a leaking plenum gasket (doubt that though, i prolly need to look down the tb for oil)

Your seeing oil burp through the crank case filter you installed?
A little bit is normal, but if there is a lot coming out its a sign that seals are starting to get a little weak on you. (And by a lot I mean over 10oz)

That was just a reference point. Mine does it to, but I dont get really excited.
You might want to check and make sure you haven't overfilled your oil too. That will do it every time.

nope, oil's normal, its no big deal, and the motor's running just fine, i was just wondering
i think it smells kind of like a carb'd engine like the old straight grain trucks we used to use

im not seeing liquid oil (obviously) just vapor, i think thats normal in most engines anyway, thats why there is a breather
