Gotta get yourself a fancy 360 CI sticker if you really wanna go retro. Good for another 5hp too

mine was under 40 for the round filter, then add in a breather for the crankcase, piece of 1/4-20 (i think) all thread for the S-Bolt, and a 1/2 inch spacer (if you go the Edelbrock Pro-Flo like i did) number 1221, i believe, correct me if im wrong

i also put a new gasket in between the spacer, and TB, its like 1.99 for it, id replace it, b/c most likely its about shot (mine fell apart when i took the airbox off)

Cereal, where did you get that sticker, i want one that says 318 instead of 360 for obvious reasons :P

Hey guys, does anyone know if the s bolt that can be found on the ahem... chevy blazers with the 4.3 will work for our setups? I was thinking that if it did it would provide for a much cleaner look when installing the round cleaner assembly. Any thoughts on this?

no clue, but you don't see the s bolt, its hidden within the air cleaner
it took all of 10 minutes to make mine, a grinder is a much quicker way to trim it than hacksaw, and i found chasing the thread with a die is a good idea, to make installation on the TB easier

just be careful if you use a grinder, although the sparks are pretty, they can injure unprotected eyes, and the s bolt will get hot when you cut it

It's not hard to make an S-bolt at all. It's only a quarter inch rod so you can bend it with your hands if you have to. I used a vice grip to make it easier. It's good to have a quarter inch nut on it too so you can rethread it where you bent it.

Oh I know it isn't hard to do at all. I was just thinking of a lazy way to do it. i am sure it wouldn't take but a minute or two to fab the rod but I am kind of **** when it comes to the little things that stick out at some point when I get the infamous "why did you do that" question from someone with less ambition than me.

my pcv is on the drivers side, thats the crankcase vent. i got one of those little ricer air filters and clamped it on.

i used bolt cutters to cut my s bolt and i put four nuts on each end and used 2 big cresent wrenches to bend it. its 1/4 20 threads btw.

and mine is the mr. gasket 1480.
