Anyone used one of these in a 2nd gen Ram? How do they sound? Do they leave you with any room to mount 2 amps under the seat? What's your opinions?

I haven't seen those before. Must be similar to the MTX set up.

It goes under the rear seat. You'll not only not have any room for an amp, you'll lose the existing storage space, as well. Put the amps under the front seats. Should be room there.

My bad, looks like it is the mtx enclosure. Can see 'mtx' when looking at 'more pics'.

I obviously don't have the hands on experience with them, but know from looking at them for my install that I couldn't get my single 5 channel amp to fit right.

i got one dows in my broke *** truck!

does that one come with the 2 MTX 4500's ?

ok first you have to choose an amp before, the 4500's only support 225 watts, if you want good sound buy the encousure with out the subs but if you just want some bass this is fine. there is absolutly no room under this thing, my amp is under my driver seat

I'm assuming you have to move the jack and cut the mounts out to make this fit under the seat?

Nope when I looked it up on their site it says it has a spot for the jack and tools. The reason I wanted my amps there is It's hard to see them under there where as it's easy to see them under the front seats and I really don't want to have them stolen again. Not sure if I'm even going to put subs back in the truck or not just was thinking about it.

This thing looks exactly like the MTX and Crutchfield acts like it is some and isn't some. However the MTX is called the Thunderform and this is the Bass Slammer. Both sites have a PDF that has details on this box and they are the same except for the names. I'm not sure if this is a MTX or not but I'm thinking not.

I plan to get the ones with no subs if I get it and get my own subs to put in there. I wish it held 12" subs. Or they had one that would.

I got a single 12 box for my third gen QC on Ebay pretty cheap,at least only putting in one sub you retain some storage space and space for an amp,I am Running a Rockford Fosgate HE2 dual voice coil sub and a Rockford Fosgate 500watt mono amp and it hits hard. Go to www.ikesound.com sometimes they have some great deals on Rockford stuff and other brands, just be sure to call and check stock when you order cuz they don't always have everthing that's listed on thier site in stock. Also Crutchfield is pretty great to deal with too,you pay a little more but they get it to you fast and they are very knowledgable.

HTM, I clicked on the more pics/details last night, and can see MTX on it in some of the pics. Assuming it's the same?

Yeah honestly I'm not sure if it's MTX or not. They used to carry one they said specifically was the MTX Thunderform so I'm not sure. I don't see any mention of a Bass Slammer on MTX's web site.

As for buying off eBay I've considered that. I really honestly want a box that goes under there that holds 1 10" sub. I already have a single Kicker 10" sub I'm not using. However, the only one I've found on eBay is forward facing. I can't find a under the seat downward or upward firing box for the 2nd gens. I only see them for the 3rd gens.
