but even with your heat shield youre still getting alot of hot underhood air in and i think the most important thing is that youre getting more air and its smoother.......thats why the 14x3 works so well, youre getting tons of air in, now with a tubing intake, your lowend will be a little bit better because its not so freeflowing........

post a link of that spectre kit

K&N's don't count?
I didnt include them, didnt I? After you have you have driven the truck, take the filter off and stick your whole arm up the tube. It is not remotely cool in there. That is called Heat Soak.

my intake sucks air out so the inter fender not the engine bay so would that not be a CAI.
No, sorry, it doesnt. Just because it has that heat sheild around it, it doesnt mean that it blocks all the hot air. It still is sucking warm air in.

dude purpl you no what i mean i dont even no why im arguing with you im looking a spectre intake
Show me it. Who is arguing? I'm just stating the facts.

Purpl, you should add two more "CAIs" to your list. 1. A filter setup that is outside of the body, more commonly a snorkel. 2. Move the intake into the cab of the vehicle. Both are for mudders, but still has cold air.

How can you say that. I have rubber seal on the top for the hood, around the tube to the TB, and from the box to the fender is sealed so how is it getting hot air.

The air is passing through it not sitting in there. It will get warmer but not hot like yr saying.
