thanks ramsport , but that thread was about the tranny might not be able to tow, Mines dead . I dont tow or haul, my truck is mainly a show truck , heck even took home a trophy at my first car show a few months back, I Just dont want to deal with automatics from dodge no more, This will be the third in the truck.
JPnorris you mentioned flywheel ,So all i got is a flexplate correct?
Thanks for all the information coming in, I will deffently be doing this swap once I get a second Daily driver, and a Doner truck
Your welcome, I know the thread was mainly about towing, but there were some obstacles that were stated that needed to be overcome in order to do a successful correct swap.
Yeah , according to your sig , that 95 dak must be a beast. Hows its power with the manual?
It's not too bad for 4x4 truck. These trannys have a bit low 1st and second gears that don't make them too ideal for racing. I can chirp the tires at the 2-3 shift on dry pavement.
Here's a video of truck like mine (5.2, 5 speed) except a reg cab and 2wd with some minor mods that runs a 14.1 1/4mile. My best so far is a 16.5 but I have traction problems and a lot more weight.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZWwpzITNvVw
Haha i dont plan on racing, Infact i was going to swap to a cummings 4bt if my engine ever fails. Ive got one sitting rebuilt in my garage waiting. Ill need a nv4500 tho , not the 3500 for gas correct?
Trannys getting worse, i gotta get a move on with this swap. What drive shaft will i need? I would like to order that all new. When i remove my tranny and bolts and driveshaft , it should slip off my TQ , or is there bolts that connect them?
