Default Oil leaking

First off I woke up friday to my truck not wanting to start. If you started it up and reved the engine up it would stay running, but as soon as you off the gas it would die. Got it started with carb cleaner, but it ran horriable. Well I notice after we got it running normal that i was low on oil by two quarts. But i have no oil leaks. So we did a vaccum test on the truck and it was normal. We even did the plenum test to see if it was leaking i had no vaccum on the air cleaner breater hose and got 2psi on the pcv side. I even had my friends dad who works on ups trucks and has a dodge too look at it. Even he is clueless on what it could be. So does anybody know what this could be?

Edited: I pulled the spark plugs too and they have no oil on them.

Try the easy stuff first. Check to make sure the battery terminals are not corroded.

Valve stem seals are most likely going to be the culprit in your oil burning quest. Either that or your rings are losing their seal on the cylinder.

Which thing happening? The valve stem seals or the piston rings? The cost would be determined by whether or not you plan on doing the repair yourself. If it is the valve stem seals and you did them yourself you are looking at about 50 bucks total if you were to replace the valve cover gaskets at the same time(good time to do it) if you haven't changed them in the recent past or they are leaking. If you take it to a shop you are looking at a days labor minimum. If you are refering to the piston rings, then you are at rebuild stage then and you would be best off by rebuilding the entire engine.

i will most likely do all the work myself, well i may have a friend help me out in the process. I only take my truck in to get something worked on that i don't have the tools to do if it requries a special tool.

I bought new valve covers and oil pan gasket so i think i'm going to change those next oil change.
