OK GETTING CLOSER!

ok, removed fan/alternator/ac pump/accessory bracket

come to find out, the MOPAR by-pass hose was too short and wasnt sealing on the bottom lip of the intake manifold.

ok, fixed that, looks great, test drive around, go to pay and spray and hose everything off so if it is leaking i can find it.

get home, first things first, radiator cap is bunk, need a new one.

ok, now its leaking again, slow leak, maybe 20 small drips over 5 minutes before it stops.

it seems to be originating from the top again, the valley where the heater hose/CTS/themostat is has a little bit of coolant in it, fresh coolant.

any guesses?
going to get a new radiator cap tomorrow and a can of stop-leak, hopefully it fixes it.

stop leak is going to cause more issues than it will fix. If it isn't a metal to metal leak, it won't do anything but clog the whole system.

Did you torque the T stat housing down correctly? If the torque isn't the same on both sides, you have uneven pressure on the gasket and a leak is likely. Bypass hose may still be leaking.

even bars leak?

cause i do have alot of corrosion at the top of the timing cover, i removed the CTS and put some RTV on its threads.

the by-pass isnt leaking anymore, i went and bought another hose at kragen for $10 and it was longer and it is now flush on the intake mani, and waterpump.

i was thinking t-stat as well, guess ill pull it all apart again tonight (i can get everything and the accessory bracket off in 45 mins now, haha)

note to self..

remove old t-stat gasket before putting a new one on..

$0.99 later for another new gasket...and *hopefully* problem solved. getting put back together tomorrow morning.

i feel retarded for even admitting this.

now i get to race this weekend! WOOT!
