quote: "With my old '01 4x4 5.9 Ram I had a B&G flash, 52mm TB, Crower 1.7 rockers, u/d pulley, PPH headers, Air Raid, mod'd kegger, and a flowmaster. Had a shift kit too. Dyno'd 382tq and 245hp. At 60mph I got over 19mpg. City driving I generally got about 14.5mpg. It was VERY quick stop light to stop light and was a tow monster. I pulled my Cuda with o/d on and could easily pass cars w/o it kicking out of o/d. "

he doesnt say if it's a QC or not but either way, he's still getting 19mpg hiway... with all that said, it doesnt really matter how much you mod it, it's the right foot that will determine the mpg... [sm=icon_cheers.gif]

as far as ignition goes... I run the MSD wires, offroad 6a and off road coil. the 1st thing I noticed was the motor reved easier after the msd 6a/coil install. did it help my mpg, no.

depends... does it have a heat shield? where is the filter sitting? if there is no heat shield and the filter is located above the exuast manifold, then probably not. add a heat shield and relocate to the front near behind the headlights and yes, you should feel some boost.

to relocate the filter, you'll have to fab something up, or build a shield around the filter in it's current location. be sure to add some insualtion to the shield to prevent the heat from getting to the filter area and make sure you feed it cool fresh air from the front of the engine compartment.

the ignition stuff I bought @ summit and it was not a package. you can find standard MSD 6A's on e-bay for about $100 bux and coils are cheep.

oops, one more thing, cold dense air = more power, it is significant enough to make it worth your time to reduce as much of the intake air temp as possible... another thing that helps alot is wrapping the fuel rails as mentioned above.
