depends on the path it takes

he was switching on a 480 volt panel to move an irrigation system, so we could plant under it, a mouse had chewed the cold side (bottom) wires bare, when he flipped the handle, it shorted, no my dad's no weakling by any means, his hand, invoulntarly clenched, and he pulled back so hard, it literally ripped bicep or tricep (cant remember which) clean off the bone.

he had flipped the handle with his right arm, had he had his left arm on the box, right now, he'd be dead, someone was watching out for him that day

now when we go to start that panel (the new one that was installed, the old one exploded, leaving a hole in the cover) we open it to check for possible shorts and switch it on with a 4 foot tree limb lol

we also check the irrigation pivots, by touching a light finger to them, to make sure they are not charged

oh, in case you haven't figured out, farming is one of the more dangerous professions, if you don't believe me, ask the farmer who lives down the road from me....he has one arm

thats some fine needle work from the looks of it.

did they say how long till you get the prosthetic? i'd imagine at least a couple months for healing/skin toughening time.
