I don't think this has been a problem with Ram's but some cars are adversely affected by oiled air filters contaminating some of the air intake sensors.
I just pulled my CAI fitted with the AEM Dryflow and went back to my stock box with the K&N, and I am much happier. I didn't realize how much torque I had lost with the CAI. Funny thing is, I think my mpg are better now, too...weird.

That is a rumor on vehicles with MAF sensors but it is almost always due to extreme over-oiling of the filter element.
+1 for Aim, when the directions say " lightly spray or coat". Its does not mean saturate. My nephew asked to borrow my oil for his KnN CAI filter for his ricer. I used to get the oil by the gallon and put it in a sprayer to be used as needed. (since switching over everything, including the race cars to Dry Flow's, I don't use it as much). Well my dumba$$ nephew, long story short basically soaked the filter in a bucket filled with the oil. Then to make things worse, he comes to me saying the oil A) won't dry like the directions said. And B) now his lil ricer won't run right. After several minutes of verbal abuse and instruction, including telling him repeadedly be glad he is not my son, he realized the error of his ways. So now he is currently looking for a new Dry Flow and a way to come up wit hthe cash to buy me another gallon of filter oil. Or as I told him... " I'll have a race car or two that will be needing a wash on sunday "
