Calipers from 98 2500 on a 1500??
Get the chevy 1-ton dually cylinders. I'm sure the dodges would be sufficient but I went with the GM ones and was not disappointed. The truck STOPS now.
Why? Parts like that often cover several years worth of product line and usually more than 1 or 2 models and variations. Find out what year and models of Chevys use that same wheel cylinder and then go hunting. I have seen where a part for a Cherokee was cheaper than the same part for a Grand Cherokee even though they were the exact same part number. I bet a matching part for a Suburban is listed at a higher price than the same part that fits a pickup just because they think the Suburban owner will pay more. I was at the GM dealer last week picking up a flywheel for a boat. When I asked the counter guy to look it up under Mercruiser he gave me a part# and price of $395. When I had him look it up for a Vortec V6 engine he got the same part #, but with only a $266 price tag. Guess which one I bought? Matched perfectly with the old one out of the boat.
HA! FedEx is loads cheaper than USPS when the weight is over 5lbs. Trust me, I ship a lot.
I am living in The Netherlands so trust me Fedex cost a lot more then USPS.
The problem is we have no Dealerships or partsstores here that have the parts.
So it is really important that I get the right parts.....
I have looked again on the side of rokauto to compare the calipers :
for a 1500 4x4 from 98 :
RAYBESTOS Part # FRC4418 {Professional Grade; Friction Ready Caliper, Remanufactured Bore Size=2.94" Inlet Thread=M10X1.5 Bleeder Thread=M10X1.5 (See More Info Page for Rebates & Promotions!)}
Front; Left
For a 2500 :
RAYBESTOS Part # FRC4414 {Professional Grade; Friction Ready Caliper, Remanufactured Professional Grade; Remanufactured; Brake Pads Not Included Bore Size=3.15 Inlet Thread=M10X1.5 Bleeder Thread=M10X1.5 (See More Info Page for Rebates & Promotions!)}
