hello there i may be new here and hope thats ok i have a 97 dakota that has had the same thing going on with it as yours and would like to get more info on just want you did as the test you did you did a test at the PCM connector #21 (what is the PCM and where is it ) next did you test it from one place to other or just from that #21 to ground ?
i was thinking it may have been i lost my pump as today when i got home i look at the fiuld and it was way over full with air bubbles on the stick but 2 and 3 rd gr have got alot of grip and spin on the tires so if you can help me out it would be great

He fixed his by replacing the PCM. Don't expect a reply from him, as this thread is over three years old, and the original poster hasn't been seen since February of 2010......
