So I might be getting a new car and I was wondering what I should try to sell my truck for. Its a 99 1500 2wd quad cab. Its got a couple extras like a dual cat back exhaust and a grilleguard with some lights on it. I think I'm at like 125000 mi. the only problem I can think of with it now is that the rear doors don't open.
any help/advice is appreciated!
I looked on kbb and it said something like $4000 but I don't know how accurate that is.

why dont the doors open?....i wold try to get that fixed 1st....also is that 4k tradein or private selling.....sounds a little high for tradein and alittle low for private.....might as well take the brushguard off and sell it separatley esp since its a 2wd

Thats a private party 4k and the bottom catches that keep the back doors shut are stuck closed.

i would personally try to get more out of it than that....is it rust free, no dings good paint?

 

Its got some rust under the driverside door and the back bumper is chrome with a rust spot.

Any rust knocks you down to "Fair" condition at best.

I'd say ask $3000-$4000 and hope for $2000 if the rear doors aren't fixed and the rust/paint not fixed/touched up.
