OK i found the little connector. tested it for power, hooked up the lights and they work. Now for the weird part. everything works just like it did stock however it does this with out the relay in the engine bay fuse panel. is this normal?

That is strange that they work without the relay. No idea since the relay should be between the ground side of the light and the switch on the dash.
