Lots of oil and smoke comming out of the PCV?!?!?

Default Lots of oil and smoke comming out of the PCV?!?!?

I have a 360 from 98 with a Kennebell SC.

I had a problem with the plenum and I solved it with the Huges kit.


Right now I have a different problem, there is coming a lot of smoke (and some oil)out of the PCV hose on the driverside of the engine wich goes in to the TB.

Could it be a bad PCV valve or something else?

Whay must I check or rapair?

Hate to tell you this, but a leakdown test is in order. Blowby past the rings will cause the crankcase to overpressurize and result in what you're seeing. If it is excessive, might be time for a rebuild. Sorry.

Thanks for the quick answer,

It happend after a backfire caused by a melted vacuumline.

So thats is the reason why I think that is a PCV or checkvalve.

Where I can buy the valve for the brakebooster?

Ok, let me get this right, you have a super charger but don't know where to buy auto parts? I know I sound like a dick, but that's what happens when you have an ankle you would like to cut off instead of having the pain.

I am living in The Netherlands, Europe There are no dealers or partsstores that sells american parts!

So that is always the problem.

If I buy a $5,- part I must pay 25- for shipping if it costs more the 50,- I must pay 25% importtaxes so that is a problem.

So no ankle to cut off...

For two years ago I bulid myself a World 427 for my Camaro and all the parts where out the US.

Normally I buy parts from Summit ( Summit bills an extra 15 ordercost when you are outside the US)and Rockauto(for the stock stuff) but the don't have that check valve.

So that is the reason I asked.

Actually, does this port on the driver's side have a hose going to the air box? If so, that's not the PCV valve. That's just a breather port. If your blowing oil past that, then you need to do what Miami told you. You need a leak down test to find out what's up.

Face it my friend. An American car in Europe is a luxury, so yes you will get ripped off plenty. That just goes with the territory. Foreign cars used to have the same problem here in the states back in the 70's. People were crazy to buy foreign cars because parts could take months to get here. Now it has all changed. At least you have the internet to help you. Google will become your best friend. Good luck.

A compression test won't tell you where the problem is, in other words, whether it is valves, rings or valve seals that are leaking. Generally, a pressurized crankcase only happens with worn rings. A leakdown test can pinpoint this and indicate the rate of loss. Since you have a supercharger I would guess your rings are shot and the SC is just forcing air past them and into the crankcase, which then forces much of the oil mist to find the path of least resistance. That would be any hoses like the PCV or vents.
