My truck is 5.2 5spd with 265-70-16 tires 355 gears, Has plenty of power @ 55 in 5th it'll peg 85 in no time and it's got 255000 miles on it pull trailers with ease, It also will leave rubber in 2,3rd and will chirp 4th it's stock to, gets 18 m.pg. in town 23 on the road. Guess i got lucky valvecover gaskets have never be replaced

 

I am calling B.S. on those mileage numbers. I want to see some good hard numbers and math: miles traveled divided by gallons put into your tank.

 

23mpg on the highway and it has plenty of power??? thats better than brand new modern trucks from all 4 full size truck makers.

5th gear will peg 85mph in no time? my truck won't even hold speed in 5th gear pulling a trailer.


Could somebody help us out (me) and do some time trials?

 

Ignore his MPG claims. They are probably exaggerated and/or he either is using the overhead computer (if he has it) and/or guesstimating based on his gas gauge and/or... who knows. I doubt he'll ever back his claims up with actual numbers, because he doesn't have them.


Viper mode (those of you who remember Viper will understand what I mean):
I have a couple ideas, but until you change your sig so its accurate, you aren't getting squat from me. I'm sorry if that sounds dickish, but newbies will be coming on here all the time, and your "haha, look how many people it pisses off" immature joke of a signature will just confuse them.
