check out my post of flowmaster 10 series should give you a little idea. My muffler is not broke in yet so it will be even louder.
EDIT I have headers also and gutted cat but it would still be loud

I have a single glasspack now and I think it sounds pretty good. Deep rumble at idle and a nice rumble rolling down the road. Also, that 50mph shift into second when you're rubbing the back of the go pedal on the carpet will give ya a little tingle in the nethers.

My exhaust note has changed tone a few times.
-When I got headers (not really louder but a slightly different tone)
-When I dropped the flowmaster muffler for two glass packs (sounded good but wasn't loud enough)
-When I dropped the dual glass packs for a straight pipe (sounded good at idle but a little too much snap at WOT)
-When I got the Magnaflow cat (the snapping at WOT with a straight pipe was unbearable)
-When I put the single glass pack on before the y-pipe that splits the pipes into duals (made for the deep idle and deep rumble that it has now)
-When I got the 1.7 roller rockers (gave it a bit of a lope at idle like when you add a bigger cam)
-When I got the Hughes FI Airgap (I can't really explain it but it sounds different, in a good way)

Kinda lends new meaning to the term "Exhaust Tuning" doesn't it.

The only bad thing about it is that I haven't tuned a bit as far as the best flow goes (best size with the correct bends and such for proper scavenging).
I think I've finally settled in on the tone I like the best though.
