Spark Plugs

I like the Autolite 3923's, but the stock plug is also a good choice. I think any standard copper plug is the best option for these trucks. I've read a lot of reports abut people having issues with plantinum plugs. I tried a set myself, and had them in for less the 200 miles before I switched back to copper plugs. You have to change them more often, but that's all I will use in my Ram.

I'm with Silver on this one. Stay away from the Plats. When I first got this truck, it had 85K (miles) on it, and I never really thought to check the plugs. I drove her to 120K (miles) before it dawned on me that they might just need changing. When I popped the hood, I was amazed to see original plugs and wires.
I went to the parts store, and picked up a new cap and rotor, in house 7.5mm wires and a set of autolite plats. When I put the plats in, my idle went to hell. I ran those for about 5,000 miles, and about every 500 or so, I had to pull them and reset the gap. I then picked up a set of autolite 3923 (?) plugs, very cheap btw. My idle smoothed out and have not had a problem with them since.
Most people on here are going to say that unless you have a pinging issue, go with the stock Champion plug. Some people have good luck with the autolites, and some don't.
Oddly, your just going to have to try a few different setups until you find the combination that works best for your truck.

Silver are u talking bout u have to change the copper plugs more often? if so like how much? i try and change plugs every year, i been using the bosch platinums and they been doing pretty good. I see autozone has a bosch copper super+ might gives these a try and see.
Yes, the copper plugs have to be changed more often. 1 year should be fine, but you might want to check the gap azfter about 6 months. That's about how often I do mine.
