The 3rd gen 1500 rams had a 545 trans. IIRC, shift kits aren't as effective with this model of trans. Not sure the model for the diesels, but if its of the same family, i'll wager the shift kits aren't very effective for them either.

Post in the cummins forum. You are in second gen, which doesn't use that trans.

Wow, when I posted in this I had 224k on my tranny. Now I'm at 255k and it's still chuggin along.

I think the way to go would be the Sonnax sure cure kit...screw transgo...
