Default Found the problem, almost too late

I had posted on here about a problem with an odd noise from my differential area on one side and today I found out what it was. The limited slip carrier on one side had broken. Not just the c-clips but the area around it was broken. I only had a noise when I turned and accelerated at the same time and I thought it was just a bearing so I put it off. Thankfully I didn't wait much longer or it could have been bad news. Putting in an Auburn limited slip on Wednesday.
Does anyone have any experience with the Auburn in a 9.25? I have read some great reviews but don't really know much about it. I have a 2WD and just drive mostly on city streets.

Also I just wanted to say thanks to everyone who offered opinions and advice when I was troubleshooting this thing.

The Auburns are OK, but I've still seen reports of them needing rebuilds now and then.

The Detroit TruTrac is supposed to be the closest thing to an "end all" LSD.

I have the Auburn in mine. I like it. Quiet, smooth, no craziness in snow, works. I've had it in for several years now.

Any idea how the prices compare between the Auburn LSD and the TruTrac?
