Something tells me that a ruptured, split in two road kill would not be the most tantalizing meal.

Oh boy that blows! shoot I can remember how pissed I have hitting a guard rail and my damage wasn't nearly that bad! Well keep the good spirits and once everything is fixed you can put those "whistles" on the truck that supposing scare animals away when you drive!

Don't know if they work but we put them on a buddy truck during hunting time and he got pissed lol.

This is why I question the point of putting one of those bull bars on. If a deer impact still causes several thousand dollars in damage, why bother?

without the push bar it would have crammed the bumper into the fenders and caused more damage for sure. the bar takes away some of the initial impact.

To clarify, it does not take away any impact, it diverts it to the frame. The problem is that parts of the deer will get around the guard (or in the case of the grill guard, bend it back into the hood). So assuming your insurance covers it (which it should if you have more than just liability), you will still end up paying your deductible anyway.

I still want to see how a full replacement bumper with an attached grill guard handles deer. Anyone know of any pics?
