Is this all I need, or do I need to get some other sensor, too? Need to get it ordered ASAP. I don't like having to rap it out to 4500 rpm to shift out of 1st.

^Thats the pressure sensor. I replaced sensor and solenoid together.

You'll also need about 6 quarts ATF+4, gasket, and might as well change the filter while youre at it.

Okay, I was wrong I think. My code was P1762, which is the Gov Pressure Sensor, not Solenoid. Manual says:

"Sensor input greater or less than calibration for 3
consecutive Neutral/Park occurrences (4-speed auto.
trans. only)."

So should I still replace both in this case? Not trying to beat a dead horse, but I don't know if these parts work hand-in-hand, and I don't want to replace one just to have the other fail on me.

From what I understand both parts are prone to failure, so I'd replace both. And when I had the shifting issue, MonteC told me to replace both.

I got mine from a local tranny shop, both for about $100.
NAPA here had them, wanted more than that, each.
I'd replace them both if I was you - And also think about putting in a drain plug, if you don't already have one.

Okay, thanks, guys...I will order both. And, yes, I will definitely be getting a drain plug. What stinks even worse is that the day it started acting up, before it threw the code, I did a light service to see if it would help the situation. Now I have to waste about 5 qts of brand new tranny fuid.

EDIT: Got 'em both ordered from Transmission Parts USA for $110 with 3-day shipping. According to the manual, doesn't look like a very difficult job. Thanks again for the input guys!

Very easy job, I did a pic write up of both the sensors and plug.
For some reason, the link never works when I post it ,,, But I doubt if you'll need any guidance with this.

Got the parts Wed evening. Easy fix, all is good now. Took about an hour to do, at a decent pace. Thanks for the assistance from everyone.
