Default Help finding part

I threw a code for Governor Pressure Solenoid...have to go WOT to get her to shift gears. Where can I find one of these? Didn't see it on Napa, Advance, or Rock Auto online. Where is the best place to find this part?

2001 1500 5.9L 4x4 46RE

Thx

Dealership wants $180 for the sensor and solenoid at my dad's cost which is around 15%-30% off, $210 retail. transmissionpartsusa.com cost me $105 for sensor and solenoid shipped.

O'Reillys is about the same as well, it looks like. Very rarely should you get parts from a $tealership. Silly Purpl.

Oreillys gave me hell when I called tryin to order it before I went to transmissionpartsusa. You really have to search their website to find the right part number, and the manufacturer has to be called to make an order. Conveniently when I called, it was a Saturday and the manufacturer was closed.

No offense man, but all you had to do was search "solenoid" and then, when it gave you categories, click on "solenoid, AT".

Or you could have followed the link I gave you and simply changed the truck from a 2001 to 1998.

So the search didn't have to be hard at all. Glad you got it taken care of though.

None taken, I figured like most of their other parts, their search engine would pick up an exact match. Unfortunately instead of being listed in the title as "Governor pressure solenoid", which is what I searched for, it was "Solenoid", with the actual title in the description. Usually, I use their "Exact Match", but in this case it didn't work, so I manually browsed the transmission category until I found it. It doesn't help either that I have dial up which makes most things internet-related a hassle.

Also you never posted a link on my thread?

Either way it got done. Good luck Ram2k1.

Hate to double post, but I checked the link you posted in this thread, and that price is outrageous just for the solenoid. I got my sensor and solenoid for that price..

Since they stock it, if you need it now, get that, but if you can wait, save yourself $50 and buy online.
