In quad cabs, its under the back seat from the factory. The back seat flips up, and there are two Velcro straps holding the a long, skinny vinyl bag. That has the hardware in it. On the passenger side, again underneath the back seat, the jack is held down by a black strap.

My truck came with the wrong tire iron piece, no square hole, so winding down the rear tire was a pain. The jack also would not decompress the entire way down, so it would no longer fit in the cab where it was supposed to. I purchased a kit parted out from a 2001 Ram 1500 off of eBay, $40-$50. No I have the proper hardware plus a few extra pieces.

10w-30 is fine, even up in the midwest winters, if you have a block heater. But in Mississippi, 10w-30 or 15w-40, depending on your temps, would be fine year 'round.

Where ya located? You can have mine. I dont use it anymore due to the bodylift, not to mention anything bigger than a 33" tire dosnt fit in that location anyway. Come pic it up at your convenience.

have you checked against the back wall behind the back seat? it could have just been tossed back in that hole. if it isn't there i'd go to a junk yard. i think ford explorers have a really similar jack tool
