Smoked my Tail lights
well ive been contemplating on doing the tail light tinting for a while and i finally did it.. went a got a couple cans of VHT Nite Shade, duplicolor truck/suv Clear coat, took off my lights, cleaned em up real nice, masked em off and went to town! it took 4 coats and a total of 2 hours of work, then the drying time of course! i think it looks great, i decided not to tint the middle section of the reverse light since i want that to be as bright as possible but heres some pics!

thanks for the comments! it was pretty easy to do...as far as coats go it only took four...i sprayed lightly with the tint, 30 mins. later i sprayed the clear coat on, waited another 15 mins. then did it all over again the 2nd and 3rd coat of nite shade were a little heavier than the others...but as long as you take it slow and spray them equally they turn out great!

I guess it's just me, but I've never wanted to do anything to make my vehicle less visible just for the sake of style. My Harley customers would always ask me to ditch their turn signals or put on itty bitty ones in favor of removing the big stock ones and I just never understood why they would want to make other drivers less likely to see them. Same with headlight covers. Why would you want to have less light output at night?
