it still doesnt matter though! the whole point of the divider was to separate the air coming in to the cylinders in half. so basically, if you look at a stock one, you'll see it splits the throttle body holes in half. one hole goes to one side, the other to the other side. but if you take that divider out, its both holes that go everywhere. its been a proven thing that the divider is NOT a good thing. the turtle is doing the same basic thing. splitting the air intake in half. so how would that be any better than stock? older 2nd gens like mine have the divider, but if you look at new model 2nd gens, you'll see that divider is gone, because the engineers realized it was not a good design for a reason.

So when did they take out the divider Wjxavier? I would be curious to know how much of a difference that made to the performance numbers.

well, i think they started taking them out around '97, but not completely sure exactly. i think they took the dividers out when they decided to ditch the egr as well. i'm sure someone with more knowledge of when will chime in.

OK, my 97 doesn't have the EGR, but I haven't had to do my plenum so I can't answer the divider question.

you can plainly see if you have the divider or not by looking down your throttle body.

Last time I took off the stock box the throttle body was so clean I didn't bother. I'll have to take a closer look next time.
