Did the bands get adjusted as a last resort? And did it just get flushed or was the pan also dropped and filter changed?

pan was dropped, filters were changed, bands adjusted to spec... still slips off the line... but once your moving its allright

I'm no tranny expert (wish MonteC would chime in here) , But I think even he would come to the same conclusion. Toast

I have this same problem with the same truck should i replace the speed sensor and possibly the governer, or just go directly to replacing transmission

I too have this problem, abs light, park light, no speedo, trany temp light, and I have replaced both sensors, one on diff, one on tranny, can anyone help?

Cool Tranny

If you start the engine and put it in gear, step on the gas and the engine revs up with no motion for a few seconds then slowly starts to go like you have your foot on the break, then the the little poly valves inside the tranny are shot.this is true if the tranny, once warmed up seems to otherwise operate ok with little or no slippage. Leaves you 2 choices, 1 a full blown rebuild or 2 replace with a new tranny. I know as I had to do this twice. rane mine for 135K miles befor the 1st died and the 2nd went while under warranty at 6K miles. Now have 190K miles on the truck. Hope this helps.

P.S. One from the junk yard should cost no more than 600 as it has no warranty it will last either.
