True that. Makes the DIYs a lot harder to follow.

Make sure you order that Accel Adapter to hook into the stock coil plug.

You definitely don't want to cut off the old plug as you can quickly swap back to the stock coil should you have an MSD coil or box failure. Cut the black part off that adapter and hook in there.

Also, my 2009 definitely needed the MSD tach Adapter P/N 8910. Keeps a P0351 code from triggering in the PCM.

If you're using one of the round blaster coil you can use some band pipe clamps from the hardware store to hold the new coil in place and keep the old coil bolted in too. Looks almost like a clevis hanger, but it was designed slightly different.

I need to change caps and rotor at 25~30K

The tach adapter does something to correct the signal from the box to the PCM so it doesn't trip a P0351 code about the coil voltage. I can't recall exactly what and why, but I know mine threw it, and Padodgeram had a post about exactly what it was since he got it too, and asked MSD about it.

Got a little boost in initial throttle response from adding the box, don't know if it does anything up top, never dynoed it.
