I thought the point in that program was to help the environment? Not dump oil or anti freeze onto the ground and make the truck smoke like hell just to blow it up for no reason

posting is fairly slow for me too.

regarding sick f**ks. destroying the clunkers (purchased with my tax dollars) is a mandated step in the stimulus program. approved by congress and president. stupid waste of money, encouraging people to spend $20,000 or more on a car they probably don't need and can't afford.

you've spent the equivalent of a new truck on your old truck.

TO the OP, you should be amazed that the magnum held out like it did. Even one of the idiots in the video commented on how long it ran.

Has anyone thought about how much steel is fixing to be lost in this whole deal?

Zman, and vaughan, This site has been a little slow, I'm sure it's not on your guys' end. I'm having the same issues at the moment. It's probably an internal issue with IB's host.

I do agree that this government program should not include trucks, that is insane, isn't their campaign something along the lines of get an MPG increase? The new gas motors aren't that spectacular when your looking at the MPG ratings. Yes, before you flame me, I know, it's hard to expect high MPGs out of heavy vehicles, but my point is it goes against their campaign.
