You haven't done enough research to make that statement. The 6.7 has had the same amount of power from 07.5 to 09. The early 6.7 diesels, were riddled with problems, and they might still have them. The trick to a 6.7 is they have to be driven and driven hard, or they won't complete a regen.

they are blowing up the "clunkers" because they don't want the parts available for people that still drive older vehicles. they eventually want us all to drive around in plastic death boxes with no power to speak of.
now if that doesnt proove that nobama is a communist then i don't know what will, maybe when they come with tow trucks and start hauling all of our trucks away.

Can anyone tell me what is going to happen to all these clunkers being taken in on trade? I mean, I know they will be destroyed, but who gets to pick up the tab for that? Usually, when a dealer takes a vehicle in trade he either sells it or wholesales it off and pockets the cash. Who now has the responsibility for picking up these clunkers, getting them to wherever they will be destroyed and paying the transportation and destruction costs? Will those costs also come from the billions being put into this CARS program? So, basically the government is buying up these clunkers and destroying any value they might have in favor of getting people to buy new cars with taxpayer money as an incentive. The cost will be a lot more than the $4,500 discount were funding. Why is no one discussing this?

Miami, you are old enough to know the answer. No matter what, WE always wind up paying the bill. This government is out of control, and getting worse by the minute. They are only taking care of their friends and ignoring the fact that WE the PEOPLE put them there to represent US not GM. What it will take to have people start marching on the capitol like back in the 60's & 70's is beyond me. I think the entire population (except us of coarse) has become a bunch of fat, lazy turds who just go whichever way the wind blows. The dumbing down of America is well underway. You want to see the future, watch the movie "Idiocracy".

Yes, I know the answer... the dealer must drain the oil and then put a special liguid glass in the engine, run it at 2k RPM for ten minutes then shut down the vehicle. If the engine cranks, then the dealer must repeat the process. Once the engine is disabled, the dealer can make $50 on the sale of the vehile to a junk yard/parts salvager. The salvager can strip everything they can for parts except the engine (that was disabled with the liguid glass). That is the deal.
