well i was thinking today at work is mabey takeing the two blown motors i have and making one good one becuase the one engine the top end went and this motor the botom end went. so i figure if i take the crank and rods out of my old motor and put it in this block if its not scratched too bad it shuld be allright.......or not tell me if its a waste of my time pulling the motor out again to do this or if its worth it

It is a hit or miss scenario. Your engine that is in the truck may have top end damage since she overheated it to the point that she spun a bearing or worse and you are saying that the other motor has top end damage for sure. You may get lucky and you might not. What exactly is wrong with the top end on the other motor?

burned the vales out of #8 and 4 i think but it was cheeper to buy a new motor than fix the old one because the heads were looking a bit ruff and it was hit or miss on that motor to rebuild it so i bought a new one. but i figure i have nothing to lose if it only last me a week because the only thing i would have to buy is a gasket set i have all the other parts and my laubor is free and i have the shop and tools to pull the motor so i figure i will give it a try...might start pulling the motor tomarow
it was only 6 months ago i put it in so it shuld be fairly easy to come out
