This is what happens when a bunch of guys with the mentality of 12 year olds try to discuss anything. We somehow veer off to the subject of T&A. LOL

Might as well at least post a pic of the finished product, for posterity.

OK Hammer Down, I've got a "what if" for ya. I still have the check valve in my truck. I was looking at the hook ups the other day after I read your post. I don't know if they are all the same or not, but on mine I can visualize a very simple way to eliminate it without even having to damage the old hose (so it can be stored as back up if ever needed). On the radiator side you can use the tool to release the hose from the connector. I haven't done this but I would presume there is some sort of flare on that metal connector. On the other side all you have to do is unthread it from the metal tranny line. So in reality all you should have to do is unthread on side, release the other side, go to Lowes or anyplace that carries plmbing fittings and get one that fits that thread. Another connector to hook in behind it to accept the tranny hose, clamp that hose to the metal connector on the radiator side, attach clamps and run. Does that make sense or did I miss something?

That is exactly what was done in the original thread - Lowes might have some or all of the parts, might not.
Why bother, when you have part #'s and everything, from NAPA ?
