Default Power door locks no worky.

The lock mechanisms make noise, but the buttons don"t move up and down. I can hear them in the door, but no lock or unlock. The rods are connected because the dr and pass sides will open with the key.

My passenger door has been doing this for months. I've just learned to live with it. Or sometimes I'll sit there and keep locking and unlocking and it'll sometimes unlock or lock the door.

You need a new power door lock motor. When it makes the noise and doesn't work, that means the gears inside the motor are done. Unless for some reason the door **** latch got unattached. Hit up the bone yard. I got mine there for $25 versus paying $60 for a new one.

Mine was a fuse that had somehow "partially blown" and was black across the connections. A new fuse and she works like new.

I never checked the fuse, but I will. I need to go to the wrecking yard to get a new fan shroud anyway. The previous owner cut it in 1/2 to switch out the water pump. I may pick up actuators as well.

did you ever figure out how the fuse partially blew out or was it just one of those freak things? It would get on my last nerve not knowing.

I haven't even messed with it yet. Sad, I can't even find time to check a fuse.

when you do get around to it, change the striker plate on the actuator with it.
