lol it was spur of the moment. I happened to be looking at craigslist and this guy who was building up a 408 dakota called it quits. I kicked myself in the *** because he also had eddy headers and a built 46re for sale, but he had already sold. The 46re was set up for up to 700 horses.

Now thats a ****ing engine hoist lol. He must have totally screwed something up to have the oil pressure drop that fast. I would think beings the crank is forged it should be ok but still get it looked at. Good luck!

On to the paint idea. I am having the same issue I'm using Ford Dark blue high heat and the aluminum with clear (yes the clear makes a difference with the aluminum paint). The block is probably gonna be black. Someone mentioned the mopar orange to me but I don't think that will look right with blue and gray

nice find. check into that pushrod length issue though, incorrect pushrod length will not make the valves hit the pistons, they will only mess up the position of the rocker on the valve stem. the cam or pistons (or possibly over milled heads) will be the issue.

I hope those heads aren't over milled. I know theyve been milled before for sure. If thats the case, can it be fixed?

It needs new pushrods anyway, so it should be a problem. Thanks for the info.
