shorter pushrods wont help. the cam is going to lift the valve the same amount regarless of pushrod length. a lower ratio rocker would help because it would limit valve lift. if the head is milled too much you cant fix it, you can remedy it by using a thicker head gasket like mentioned above. just make sure you do some good measuring before the final build.

if your pushrod is shorter, then wouldnt it not push the rocker as much? i believe they also make rocker shims

Well it also needs rockers and gaskets, so it'll get figured out when the time comes.

there is a certain amount of lash between the rocker and valve that needs to be constant. if you used a shorter pushrod, you would just have to adjust the rocker to make up the extra gap. pushrods wont help.
