How do your current tires fit? Do they or did they rub at any time. Thats the exact size I would like to run on my 99 sport 2wd with an 1 1/2'' leveling kit up front. I have the stock 3 blade sport alloy wheels. None of our local shops know and won't do a fit test.

They only rub when i am at full lock. I will post a pick. My local tire place said they have a special on 285/75 16 GT Adventuro M/T that they can get for me cheap. Anyone run these type of tires?

First off, those tires are gonna be pretty wide on those rims. My 285/75/16s "pooched" out a lot over the rims, and couldnt be aired up to about 31-32" in height, so I could only imagine what that wider tire would do. My 285s also rubbed the control arms due to width, so a wider would prob hurt your turning a lot more. Anyway, whats with the 4wd look on a 2wd?

Out of curiosity, was your lift and ''Big tires'' on your truck when you got it? Or did you put the lift on yourself and then decide that ''lifts were retarded'' as posted on, '' How do you get into YOUR Ram'' thread?

Bought it with it. Hated the ride. The guy I bought the truck from thought he owned a 4wd and went muddin more times than most people with a 4wd do.

Sounds like he used it instead of driving a truck that could, but never would leave the asphalt. I get dropping a truck, most look bad ***. Me, I like it level. I can't stand the stink bug stance of most trucks. I like bigger tires, but I woulden't consider 285's big compaired to the majority of them out there. I get your point, but 2wd lift kits are popular. There are a lot of them out there.
