I have mine velcroed to the dash and run a k 40 mounted under the hood looks ok i guess but it works I run a connex3300hp radio and it works just great

 

I have a 2001 ram. Mine's mounted on the floor under the cup holders. The place I bought mine had a universal bracket that can swing almost any direction. I used that and I can tilt it up high enough to see the face of it, adjust it etc.

The antenna is mounted on the edge of the hood. Again, the place I bought the radio had a specific mounting bracket that holds the wilson1000. Looks great, really clean.
