Air bags and air shocks do the same thing. just shocks are a heck of alot cheaper.

If you choose to go with air make sure all of the lines are well protected. My buddy cut 1 when out gathering firewood, made for a bad trip back to town.

Not sure what happened to loneeagle but 1 time I was out having fun and thought all of my air lines were safe but I kicked up a rock and it hit a line and I lost the air out of my shocks.

you also may look at a set of Hellwig 2500 lb overloads if you don't care about ride quality, i have them and can put about 2000 lbs in the bed with out it squatting too much, but unloaded it rides like a semi (i have 8 springs in the rear packs, one being an add a leaf, 3 being the overloads)

Default 3/4 ton 1/2 ton

If you have a mega cab 1500 it uses the same frame as the 3/4 ton and uses 3 " wide leaf springs. Look at the after market for answers there is a product for your Truck that will give you the best of both words and it does not change your ride when you are empty and it is not a band aid like some products. If you can or have to adjust it it probably isn't the best answer because you can always over adjust it just our nature. More years in suspenstion than alot of you have been alive.
