I think they look like ****. If you want bright lights, put some 5000K HIDs (not eBay crap, though) is 99-01 Sport headlights. Get some 3000K yellow HIDs and put those in the fogs. I cannot see blue that well at night, but a stupid ricer going by in his Civic and 8000K HIDs and those stupid eBay projectors will absolutley blind me! If you think the coolness factor of your lights is the #1 priority, you are wrong. My lights may not look cool, but I can see at night. Isnt that what they are for?

Nope, just have regular Sylvania Silverstars. I was just saying that that setup would be ideal as it wouldnt blind people and would still be bright as ****.

Want cheap HIDs that are made in Japan, not in China?

Sylvania SilverStars are better than stock, but still Sylvania garbage IMO.

I have compared ALL the brands I can find locally. Philips TrueVision/NightVision bulbs, available at O'Reillys, are excellent, as well as GE Nighthawks, also IIRC available at O'Reillys. Most places just carry Sylvania junk, the "walmart" of bulb brands I call it. Sylvania SilverStars and SilverStar Ultras just don't compare, although like I said before, they are better than stock (and more expensive than the GEs or Philips by a ways).

What I did with my high wattage bulbs and rewiring with relays was meant to be a hold-over until I forced myself to spend the $$$ on HID kits. I have since had to reorganize my priorities... my wife and I are going to be buying our first house soon. We got pre-approved on Wednesday, going to go with the Realtor looking next week. The truck currently has a back seat, money priority wise.

My high wattage bulbs are 100w fogs made by Nokya and 80w/100w low/high Eurolite bulbs, made by Toucan Industries; a very, very reputable bulb company. When those go someday, I have a set of Nokya 100w/120w bulbs to replace them with. They are approximately 6000k white, very bright white, and with my aftermarket housings (basically Sport housings without dual bulbs), they light up the road great.

If you go with the high wattage bulbs, and maybe even with HIDs, the relay wiring is a must.

Haha, my dad is currently buying a house and the trucks are sorta taking the back seat, but as soon as we move in, its getting a tractor, tools, then we will finnaly have room to work on them both! Having 3 garages is gonna rule!!!!

i got a set of the nighthawks for 15$ because they were on clearance at walmart. they are a lot brighter than stock and the reason i replaced them with the hella bulbs is because the parts store guy said that the hellas were the brightest legal bulb. i don't care if my lights are legal, i just want as much light as i can get coming off the front end.

Likewise. A I already said, I live in the mountains with little two lane highways and mountain roads. Lots of wild animals and blind curves.
What's a good headlight unit replacement? Mine are all yellowed and scrubbing them with rubbing compound didn't help.
They currently have Sylvania SilverStars in them (from the previous owner) but you can't even tell because of the lenses.
I eventually want some off-roading lights or something of the type to mount on my brush guard, but I need to get my headlights working bright first.

thats the ones i'm gonna get. keep in mind that bulbs get dimmer over time and if they are a few years old then new bulbs would seem brighter.
