Holy Crap tires have gotten expensive!!!
do the steering box adjustment in the diy section.
are you gonna take your truck through any mud any time soon? i'd like to hear how the terra grapplers pull a ram through the mud.

NO! That adjustment does not work! I tried it years ago when it was first discovered and it just ruined the box. There's still lots of play in the sector shaft (I think) or somewhere. That adjustment just tightens up the return to center which was perfectly fine on mine. There's a sector shaft adjustment I found on another forum but it's pretty difficult to do. I'm just going to order a new box soon.
Yep, the second one is what I'm interested in. That first one did nothing at all. I've actually backed in off so it will turn with less effort. Thanks for the link, Sheriff, and sorry to yell at you. Didn't mean to get huffy, just irritated when I read so many posts of people telling someone with bad steering to just adjust that top screw. I think it does more damage than good.
i didn't realize that that tsb was the steering box adjustment in the diy section. when looked at the diy a while back it was just dvaughan explaining how to do it.
the bearing preload adjustment is what caught my eye for your situation.
and i don't get offended easily so its fine.
