Arrow V10 what do you think of them?

Im thinking of buying a 96 Ram 2500 4x4 with a V10. It has 200k how far do these run for?

Miami is the guy to ask about that as well as a few others but if it has been well maintained then I would say go for it but dont expect more than about 8 mpg.

in all fairness i'd like to meet the guy who buys any kinda v10 and expects more than 15mpg at the very most

You'll never meet that guy. You can only see him during visiting hours at the sanitarium.




I'd be wary of any truck with that many miles on it. Not saying to avoid it, but I would have a good mechanic check it out before purchase. V10s are expensive to work on and replacement parts can be hard to come by.

that and they don't have a crap plenum gasket design. or the death flash.

I have 151k on the clock on mine. I have had little trouble with it . That being said if it is the automatic be cautious as they are prone to failure. I'd take it to a good mechanic for a good once over. The engine its self is second to none, I think you could pull a freight train with power to spare. If its been cared for It could be an awesome truck.

Only one motor out there that I would want to buy that had 200K on it. That's the 12 valve 5.9 Cummins.

I would trust a cummins at 300k.
