Security?
Just curious what anyone is using for security on their Rams (besides a gun).
I came across evidence the previous owner had something going on, ie remote start and/or security and got to thinking it might not be a bad idea to get something with all the audio gear ... and my truck being the best looking one on the road.
Not looking to spend a huge amount, just protect from theft, contents and stealing my tires and wheels.
Chime in.

On these trucks, you are wasting your time.
You can have the best Alarm system put in, but don't expect it to save you.
The only thing you are gonna accomplish is just pissing them off.
The doors on these trucks can be opened in about 10 seconds or less. If you have manual locks, add another 10 seconds.
As far as your wheels, buy a locking lug nut set.
If you do get an alarm, make sure they have glass breaker sensors, and put a film of tint on all the windows. The sensors will sound an alarm at the sound, and the tint film will slow down the crook some when it the glass itself wont fall apart.

I had locking lugs on a vehicle once ... until I had a flat in the middle of nowhere and COULDN'T FIND THE "KEY", lol.
The window sensors would be definite and, although tint is not one of my favorites, the slow 'em down aspect I like. Possibly a barely there tint would be ok.

That's why you keep the key in the glove box. You might check, there are some companies out there that make a clear security film, that might work better for you. I think 3M makes it, but if it's the same quality of their tint film, then I would stay far far away.
^ LOL During deer season, I have a rifle in mine, but today I had it in the cab with me, since I was going to go site it in... Parked on campus, and this little hippie chick was parked next to me in her greenie car, shoulda seen her eyes when she saw the rifle laying beside me in the truck.
I've never seen eyes get that big....
