Just wanna make sure one basic is covered, are you sure the Check Engine Light is functioning properly. Does it turn on?

Ok I was wondering. I had a charcoal canister go bad. I had charcoal pieces clogged in the line to the purge valve. I blew that out with compressed air. I tried to blow out the line that goes from the canister to the fuel pump and had no success. Should this line be clear to blow through? I unhooked the line from the fuel pump and blew in the end by the canister and it went through fine. Does this mean that the line going into the fuel pump is clogged and I have to replace the fuel pump.

I found the problem. I replaced the ECM and the truck is now running great. I priced them new at about $500. Well I found one in a scrap yard that was turned in for the cash for clunkers deal and paid $25 for the used ECM and that definatly did the trick

Yes it was a really great price no doubt. I drive a company truck so I didn't really look at it until now
