Default Gabriel cheap shocks

Today i'm gonna take the passenger side rear shock off my truck. I replaced the stock ones back at christmas with the Gabriel guardian ones from autozone. So far the driver's side rear one came off of the shock eye and had AZ warranty it and now the passenger side is leaking the fluid out. Anybody else had trouble from these shocks before? Keep in mind I have 3 inch lift blocks on the back axle. Should I get shocks for a 4wd dodge, or are the 2wd and 4wd shocks the same length?

You need longer shocks for a lift.

Well the 4wd dodge's came with 3 inch blocks correct? Mine is a 2wd and a put 3 inch blocks under the axles. I've been told that the shocks were the same length for a 2wd and 4wd rams.

Under the axle or over the axle? That's a huge difference. I'm assuming you meant over the axle thereby lifting the rear.
I don't know how a 2wd is setup but the 4wd does have a block. If the 2wd did not and then you stuck a 3" block in, I'd imagine you will need a longer shock. Perhaps one for the 4wd will work. I wouldn't think they would be the same part numbers.
But, if you only do regular street driving you may not have an issue. If you took it off-road any you might over extend the shock causing your leak.
Other than that, you bought cheap parts from AutoBlown. Utilize their warranty.

I did go offroad the other day. I hit a few big mud holes, I can imagine thats when it did the damage to those cheap rear shocks. I'm gonna swap the blown one tonight. I usually do it in the parking lot while they watch.
