one thing you can do is turn the wheel until it touches, then push down really hard on the bumper with someone watching the wheel well so you can see what part of the plastic you have to cut out. after cutting out the plastic you can take a piece of stainless thats bowed toward the doors a little and rivit it to the plastic, then spray paint it black.

i would modify the plastic long before i dumped a bunch of money into a lift. besides, i don't think you can lift a 2wd enough (suspension lift) because of the way the coil spring is wedged into the frame.

Sounds like a great plan to me Sheriff. I will start work on that later this evening. I gotta do my homework first (I am 38 going for my second degree).

Wow your truck is extremely low...even with those tires. Your suspension must be really saggy, no offense.

None taken EndIsNear. Everywhere I go and get to park next to similar year RAMs mine is actually a bit higher than the others. Most are on a par with mine before the new tires.

If I can get a picture, I'll show you mine. It may just be me, but mine seems higher. Could just be the side steps you have. Unless the previous owner of my Ram had done some suspensions mods I'm unaware of, although it doesn't seem like it.

You never know. Also your truck is an '01. They may have made some suspension changes as a transition between the 2nd and 3rd gen trucks.

01 is still 2nd gen.
i think your truck sits about where it should. my dad has a 98 2wd and it looks to be about the same height.
endisnear may be getting thrown off by the tires/steps.

Check out my clearance album in my profile. It will show you what is behind all that. If it isn't much, you can just use a small propane torch to heat the plastic and mold it back away from the tire. If it's bad enough, you may need to trim it a bit and hammer back the seam.
